About the event
Most medical devices today have a connection to the cloud, either for storing data or accessing advanced analytic processing capabilities. While devices can be connected via a cable, most are connected wirelessly. Such products fall into the realm of Internet of Things technology, which is vast and complicated.
In this presentation, we walk through all the IoT technologies required to get your device online. We examine the particular requirements that Medical Device demands of these technologies.
Technologies to be discussed include RF communication options; powering your device; displays and user interface; local/cloud data storage; mobile apps; and other key electronic components such as the microprocessor, antennae, and connectors. In all of these areas, we provide a primer on key engineering principles that should be observed, including electrical isolation and electromagnetic compatibility.
This presentation will be delivered by the CEO of Genesys Electronics Design, Geoff Sizer.
