About the event
In this presentation, we have a conversation with a MedTech entrepreneur who is commercialising a medical device for improving the accuracy of measuring radiation does in radiotherapy. Kim Lyle is the chair and director of Electrogenics Laboratories (https://electrogenicslabs.com/) which struck a deal with the University of Wollongong to develop this technology.
In this presentation, we will have a brief overview of the product being developed before exploring its commercialisation pathway. This presentation complements our recent Commercialising MedTech Webinar, to focus more on the capital-raising side of the commercialisation process, starting with the initial raising of seed capital, the commercials arrangements with early investments and their expectations of return. With the project now underway, we discuss the building of the team, structuring of the business and the options for the next round of funding and the application process for gaining grants.
The main purpose of this webinar is to look at MedTech development from the investor's perspective and glean from it lessons for the product development process.
